Kids Matter exists to build character, competency, and commitment in the next generation of Canada's kids. We do this by influencing the influencers of kids. We’ve identified six target groups that we believe are crucial as we seek to influence the influencers of kids. Our whole purpose is to build a foundation of meaning, purpose, significance, and contribution that helps kids live and enjoy life “on purpose.”
We are dedicated to serving:
Parents can author a carefully designed and strategic future for their children. This preferred future is best not left to chance, nor is it for the casually interested. Intentional, sacrificial parenting based on a carefully developed plan can greatly enhance the probability of seizing control of opportunity to realize the potential created within the life of every child.
We help educators reshape the culture of their schools, including coaching and leadership development for student governments to enhance effective governance. Students will learn how to shape the culture of their schools. Leadership coaching will be offered to individual students who actively serve on student government.
The local church is the place where many of the questions Kids Matter asks of parents and leaders will be found. To this end we are committed to helping the local church and its leader to live with clarity and purpose. We work with churches to encourage careful assessment of current ministry to kids to ensure effectiveness of desired outcomes through vision, direction, and implementation with consistent evaluation and refinement.
Camp is an amazing place. Kids’ lives are transformed at camp. Further, they have opportunity to become leaders and influence others. Decade after decade, Christian camping has proven to be an effective way to invite, transform, and disciple students around the nation.
We believe every kid deserves access to competent coaches and mentors as they seek to navigate the complexities of our world. Through our leadership development process, influencers are well resourced to confidently and competently coach young leaders.
